viewing photo date

I can no longer see the photo date when I go into View Options > Show/Hide Info

Anyone know how to get that info. to show?

It depends on the viewing mode. If you are in Grid mode, then the two-finger tap as per the post from @selondon will cycle through various Info Overlays, one of which will be "Show Photo Info" - which includes the capture date.

 

However, when in the single image Edit or Rate & Review modes, the two finger-tap cyles between 3 different info display modes: Off, Histogram, Photo Info. When selected via that two-finger tap, the "Photo Info" display will show 1 of 5 different sets of information, to

I see the double tap leads to the "off, histogram and photo info" but the date is no longer on the photo info

When you have the photo info displayed, are you then single finger tapping to cycle through the various info displays? One or two of them should display the date.

yes, i have the phone up in review or in edit mode and whenb i two finger tap it scrolls from info, to histogram to off.  the info shown is (as an example):

32 of 356 | smart preview

1/250 sec at f/2.8, ISO 3200

135mm (EF70-200mm f/2.8L IS II USM)

Yes, but once you have that info display showing, you then need to single finger tap on the info overlay and it will cycle through 4 or 5 different versions of the info overlay, some of which will contain the date.
