Question

Why did Lightroom change all of my edits? And why doesn't Dehaze work now?

Just wondering if anyone experiecing what I am with the Lightroom CC and if there is a way to fix it. I'm new to Lightroom, but not photography. I usually just use good ol Photoshop, but recently went on a trip where I took thousands of photos and wanted an easy way to batch edit and organize - Lightroom CC.

The issue: Last week I edited over 100 photos and when I picked it back up this week all my edits were messed up, everything was super dark and not how I had edited things. Dehaze also makes my photo go black now if its not set to zero. In order to edit these photos I started with a preset and made some of my own edits to the preset and applied and tweeked to the other 100+ photos. At the time I also had to force quit Lightroom when I was done because it legitamittly wouldn't close out the program otherwise.

Is there any way to fix this? Or do I really have to edit the 100+ photos again that took me hours.

Yeah, so it's completely messed up, it's changing all of my work, all shadows are lifted, all grain is increased, all exposures are increased, and my head is about to explode, and I'm not feeling like spending more than $0.00 now on this junk. Now, hours out of tomorrow is gonna hafta be spent trying to undo this utter mess that's ruined all my photo edits. Nah. BYE.

One more thought:

In the Menu - Preferences -> Performance -> GPU... Uncheck the GPU so it is not used. Does that make a difference? Not likely on a Mac, but worth a try.

Are you using Lightroom (cloud based) or Lightroom Classic (computer based with catalog and local storage)? What version?

If you are using Lightroom (cloud based) Try logging into www.lightroom.adobe.com. See what they look like there. That will help you determine if you have an issue with the device your are running Lightroom CC on.

Thank you for the suggestion, I am using Lightroom (cloud based) and my edits seem to be there in the web based version. I was using the desktop version just fine the other week so I'm not sure what changed from now to then. Maybe a good uninstall and reinstall would do me good.
