Working with iPhone, Lightroom Mobile and Classic

I use Lightroom Classic on my Mac to edit photos taken with my Sony A7Iv. I want to start shooting raw photos with a new iPhone 16 Pro Max. I plan to use Lightroom Mobile to do some editing on the phone though I do not anticipate doing a lot of editing.

1. which 3rd party camera app on iPhone do you recommend for shooting raw photos?

2. can anyone suggest a workflow for shooting the raw photos, doing editing on them in Lightroom Mobile and then getting them in my Mac for further editing in Lightroom Classic?

Thanks

1. Don't know about iPhone 16, but my iPhone 14 Pro Max creates DNG (raw?) images in the Lightroom App (No 3rd party apps needed.)

2. Basically no workflow needed. Simply start the Sync in Lr-Classic and edits will sync both ways Lr<>LrC. Images in a mobile device will automatically download to a folder in Lr-Classic (Specify folder in preferences).

That is how I use my iPhone- Take photos in iPhone- Edit in all apps (LrC, Lr-Mobile, Lr-Web).

Regards. My System: Windows-11, Lightroom-Classic 15.1.1, Photoshop 27.3.1, ACR 18.1.1, Lightroom 9.0, Lr-iOS 10.4.0, Bridge 16.0.2 .

Do the DNG files made from Lightroom Mobile have any processing what so ever added to them or are they true RAW files?

I thought that Lightroom Mobile only synced with Lightroom on a computer? To be clear I am using Classic. At least that is how it use to be.

Thanks

"are they true RAW files?"   I don't have the knowledge to answer that.

In my LrC Develop module they behave exactly as a raw file. (eg. Color Temp is in Kelvins as are raw)

Another expert may tell us they are 'Linear RGB' in a DNG wrapper that 'acts' like a true raw?

"I thought that Lightroom Mobile only synced with Lightroom on a computer?"

Lightroom-Classic does sync, but it syncs in a different manner to Lightroom. SYNC SETUP IN CLASSIC

Images imported to mobile devices (Cloud) AND Lightroom-Desktop v7.5 on a PC/Mac (also Cloud), will automatically download and appear in the LrC catalog (Local). Edits in LrC sync 'up' to iPhone Lr, and edits in Lr (anywhere) sync 'down' to LrC.

My default Download folder in LrC is defined in Preferences as {My Pictures iPHONE}

Syncing in Lr-Classic is either ON or OFF - There is no 'Selective' syncing of photos in the Lightroom Cloud - it's 'All or Nothing'.

"Do the DNG files made from Lightroom Mobile have any processing what so ever added?"

Mine do- It seems to me that Lightroom-Classic (or the iPhone?) automatically applies its own initial rendering to each photo. All my iPhone photos show with the 'Edited' badge and some slider Basic adjustments (Just like the [Auto] button effect.)
