Please help me someone I really nearly just cried in frustration!!!

I have a z6. 
I have RAW images

i have the 7 day LR trial.

i cannot get the images off my camera into LR.

i have read about LR not being compatible in the past with the z6 but apparently now is. I have read about converting to DNG files which is pure double Dutch. 
What do I need to do??? 
please help!

    Should be working OK. How are you getting the photos from camera? Try using a card reader and copy the NEF files into a new folder and then add to Lightroom from that location. If using a Mac you could try launching Image Capture to get the files on to your computer.
