P: Enable the pick/reject flag, star rating & tag function for albums shared w collaborators

Hey @Kavita Srivastav17911213 do you know if this ever made any progress? An update would be much appreciated.

I'm paying the extra >40% for the "collaborative Teams experience" and getting none of it. Lots of app problems. Lightroom in particular seems to have been completely forgotten by Adobe. There's nothing collaborative about it. Other members of the team cannot operate my albums. Images have to be exported to be able to use them anywhere. There are other editing gallery programs that are much more versatile. Really not good value.

1 year later...... still can't rate and flag in..... time to serch another apllication???

Are there any updates concerning this issue? It has been some time since it has been requested.

I have been utilizing the shared album feature to collaborate with other photographers and share our images. However, I've noticed that contributors are currently unable to rate, flag, or remove photos within the shared album. It would greatly enhance the organization of our photos if these functionalities were available to contributors.

Additionally, I have come across another issue regarding the import process. Currently, there is no option to filter files while importing, such as separating JPEGs and RAW files, which can make it challenging to import only one format type without any difficulties.

Thank you for considering this suggestion to improve the importing functionality.

There is an idea for this feature request somewhere in the forum. I am just too lazy to find it right now.

If you look at history, Adobe does seem to allocate some level resources working issues with the highest vote counts.

I would therefore suggest you find the feature request (or idea as Adobe calls it), and up-vote it.

From my perception stand point, it does not seem like complaining in an existing discussion does much on feature requests. However it does seem to help with bugs though.

Who do we need to talk to to get this feature available? There's obviously a demand for it. Some of us work in collaborative environments and not being able to flag and rate photos in albums we are not the owners of is a major hurdle.

Way back in 2019, Adobe removed the ability to flag and rate images in a shared album in order to "support forthcoming improvements in sharing and collaboration."

Not knowing this because: why would I, I just stupidly handed off an album to my photo editor colleague, thinking it would be a fast way for us to collaborate on post production - and he can't see my flags or ratings. 

Here we are, four years later and it's still not possible to flag or rate images in a shared album in Lightroom.

I'm curious about the logic here. Ideally there's a way to collaborate on a project where someone else has permission to FLAG or RATE.

This is a major issue for me. We have just upgraded to CC for teams to add a new member and make use of the collaborative tools advertised, meaning that I have gone from an individual subscription of around £40pcm to two subscriptions of £60+pcm (total cost £120+pcm) so that my assistant can manage my photos, but this is not an option, so now I get to pay 3 times the money and have to do all the work myself still. I was actually hoping for ratings and delete capability, but ratings would suffice.
