P: Please add face recognition

I am disappointed that there is no facial recognition in Lightroom CC. I am a professional Photo Organizer and I was hoping it would be a good alternative to Mylio and other programs for organizing client's photos. With facial recognition in other competitive products, it is a way to add lots of names as keywords very efficiently.
I scan client photos also, and I can't edit the capture date in Lightroom CC, so that is disappointing also.
This product still does seem promising as a way for my clients to view, share and enjoy their photos if I have organized their collection and applied metadata using other products such as Lightroom Classic.

Greetings,

The Lightroom family of products was updated today and contains support for this feature. Please download the new version and give it a try and let us know how it works. Note: This conversation was created from a reply on: Lightroom CC: Please add face recognition.

From our help doc:

When I access the People View, why does Lightroom CC display 'No People Found Yet'?

Initial indexing of your photos may take some time. The ‘No People Found Yet’ message is displayed when Lightroom is still analyzing all your photos to find people or when there aren't any people in your photos.

When will an iOS version that works on iPad be available? Having just an iPhone compatible version isn’t very helpful to those of us who do archival work vs just organizing daily photos.

Jamie, It is there now after you update. Make certain you've installed Lightroom for iOS for the iPad on your iPad. Double check the version number by tapping the [...] icon and choosing Settings>About Lightroom. The correct version number is 4.0.0.  If you have this version installed, you should see a People section above the list of Albums.

I have the update. It has a bunch of entries in the People Section. I believe the people form my LR Classic migration

On my iPad or iPhone, how do I create new “people” in the people group? How do I add people to the correct group?

THanks
I don’t see a way to add people using my iMac either...

Have you selected an image with a person in it? The Keyword panel person section only shows if you've selected an image that has persons in it. If you don't have an image selected or Sensei hasn't identified any people in the image, you will see the normal keyword panel.

So how do I create a new “person group”?
Let say I meet and photograph a new friend today. How does that person show up in the People Group?
I don’t see anyway (iOS or MacOS) to create a Group

Groups are created by the software after you've taken the photo. Once the analysis has determined it doesn't belong to an existing person, you have the opportunity to assign it to its own group and give it a name.

You don't create the groups in People view - they are created for you.
