P: Please add smart albums

I would love to be able to create smart albums (aka smart collections) in the all-new Lightroom CC. Basically, a folder that contains a set of photos based on metadata information and updates automatically. The feature set should ideally contain all the options that exist in Lightroom Classic for smart collections. Thanks!

@S.Seng To be honest, even the desktop version of the smart albums remains quite useless for the time being. There is not much we can do with it until we can use Or/And/Not

Why mobile/ipad version is far far behind the others. There is point in this product if adobe doesn't want improve the product. It's more than few years behind other platforms.

Yes I don't know why this isn't a feature!! We can filter by location, but cannot filter by "none" like you can on classic. Honestly I am close to the end of my teather with Adobe

Hi @Mausfans, I have dreamed of this as well.

But given all the basic features we have been waiting for many long years, I've not reached the point to dare asking for this!

You're right, we should not lose focus and ask for the important things. Keep it up !

Maybe we get this feature in 2050...

(I'm still bitter seeing the LR price increase with so few improvements on the basics)

I would like to use a smart filter showing all my pictures that have no location (or GPS) info, thus I could add the information manually. Currently I did not find a way to do this.

Thanks for considering this feature

I couldn't agree more @luxBorealis , except that even the desktop version of the Smart albums is not worth much yet, given that we cannot use And/Or/Not... so it's actually even worse than you think...

I'm sure this feature has been requested numerous times, but nothing came up when I input this title to the community.

Why, Adobe, do you continue to handcuff the iPad version of Lightroom. The discrepancies between the two versions--Lightroom desktop and Lightroom iPad--make them into two very different apps, and this is, yet, another example.

It would be infinitely helpful, especially for the many professional photographers who use the iPad version on a daily basis, for Smart Albums created on the desktop version to appear on the iPad version. Sorry, but this is a no-brainer.

I am almost at the point of abandoning the iPad version in favour of picking up a cheap MacBookAir as even an old MBA that supports Lightroom will do this, even though my M1 iPad cannot.. But then again, maybe this is what Adobe wants--to keep the iPad version so limited that even children outgrow it!!

But most importantly, with the limited criteria available for search, at this stage, it remains useless unfortunately

Its nice the status shows "released" but its not really released when there is no parity between the desktop app and the mobile app.

On of the advangates of cloud storage is you can take it withou you and load on any device. If I cannot use smart albums on my iPad, there is no great advantage to cloud Lightroom.
