Hello,

I am using Photoshop Lightroom for Mac. I have one question:

- how can I colorize only a part of a black and white photo?
For example, I have a photo of me on a landscape. I turned the photo black and white and I would like to color myself.

Can anyone help me? Is this possible in Lightroom for Mac?

For Lightroom: You could try-

In the 'Color Mixer'  set each color to -100 Saturation

Then Brush with +100 Saturation.

For Lightroom-Classic: One exercise to try - (sorry, forgot I was in the Lightroom forum!)

Leave the photo in 'Color' mode (ie. do not use the "Black & White" treatment mode,

In the HSL panel set all the Saturation sliders to -100 (Hint: make a Preset)

Choose the Brush Tool with the Saturation slider set to +100.

Where you brush will restore the color.

Hello,

Thanks a lot for the tip 🙂

It worked just fine o set the saturation to -100 on the color mixer and then Brush with +100.

I will try this effect on some pictures!

Once again, thanks a lot!

Another possibility: Select the Graduated Filter tool, set Saturation to -100 and drag the filter so that it covers the entire photo (so the graduated part is below the bottom). Then select the Brush - Erase (the brush in the Graduated filter, not the Adjustment Brush tool) and erase yourself from the filter.
