Are you by any chance using 'mackup' for backing up/syncing config files to a cloud provider? Today I found out that mackup was  backing up "Lightoom" and "CameraRaw" folders.

$HOME/Library/Application Support/Adobe/ had a "Lightroom" and "CameraRaw" symlink to on my cloud storage created by 'mackup'.

I deleted those two folders at the cloud storage and removed the two symlinks.

It worked.

Hi posidron,

We really apologize for all the hassle. Could you please let us know on what step exactly Lightroom CC is crashing? If its crashing while accessing the presets then, please refer the available workaround for now: Lightroom CC 1.4 crashes while opening the Presets panel

I tried to clean-up and re-install everything. I thought first it helped cause you were guided through the usability instructions and once that was done, it was also possible to see the picture overview but as soon as you opened a picture and slide out the edit tools it crashed. On the next restart it instantly crashes.

Thanks for the update. Please sign out from the Creative Cloud desktop app and launch Lightroom CC. It will ask for your Adobe id and password. Follow the instruction and let us if Lightroom CC stays up without closing down.

No crash reporter pop's up. I also did now a clean install with the "Adobe Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool" and the crash persists as soon as it is loading an individual picture - taken withIt  the Pixel 2 XL.

It also happens with Lightroom Classic after that update.

Ok, crash reporter was disabled. Enabled it by running "/Applications/Adobe\ Lightroom\ CC/Adobe\ Lightroom\ CC.app/Contents/Frameworks/AdobeCrashReporter.framework/Versions/A/Adobe\ Crash\ Reporter.app" In case smby else on Windows has the same, instructions to re-enable the reporter are here: Submit a crash report for Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom

I send a report now.

I hope it gets fixed very soon. It is not nice to pay for a subscription of an app which does not work for a week because it did not pass or has a lack of quality assurance tests.

Though. If there are no pictures in Lightroom, Lightroom itself seems to works fine.

Please turn off the graphics processor from the Lightroom preferences, restart Lightroom and check if that helps to fix the crash issue.

So this is what I getting from '/Applications/Adobe Lightroom CC/Adobe Lightroom CC.app/Contents/MacOS/Adobe Lightroom CC Helper.app/Contents/MacOS/Adobe Lightroom CC Helper' after I use a fresh catalogue.

I send that report also to the devs but may somebody here knows a workaround around to this. It seems to be involved with "Lense Profiles".

I have this same issue, too, since updating. It is clearly somewhere in CameraRaw, as the same crash happens (with essentially the same stack trace) when trying to open a raw file in Photoshop, or convert a raw file in DNG Converter 10.4.

I believe removing Creative Cloud allows DNG Converter 10.4 to resume working, but it is impossible to get the Creative Cloud apps working with raw files again even with a clean install.

GPU support is, and remains, disabled on this machine. And: I have sent many Adobe crash reports from both Lightroom CC and Photoshop with this over the past few days. (My Adobe ID has the same email address as my forum ID here.)

…I also just reproduced it on a different Mac (of a different model; same CC account, same software and OS versions).
