Question

Migrating from Apple iPhoto to Adobe

I am an amateur, as opposed to professional, photographer.  For years, I have used Apple iPhoto for integrated image editing and book printing.  Apple has dropped their printing service, as well as support for iPhoto.  My mission is to find a replacement.  For image editing I want a user-friendly simple program that smoothly "cleans up" images.  (I do not completely alter and/or rebuild images.)  Then, I need an integrated user-friendly printing module that smoothly creates what I call an "iPhoto Book" -- that is, page layout, style, and so forth to print a set of images as a book.  I'm told that the Adobe Lightroom CC plan is a potential replacement for iPhoto, but that it has no printing module.  Does anyone have suggestions for how to replace the user-friendly fully integrated Apple iPhoto image editing and printing program?  Thanks.

If printing is one of your requirements, you might want to consider Lightroom Classic CC, the desktop Lightroom. It is different from Lightroom CC in that it stores images locally on your hard drive, and the editing capabilities are much more mature.
