Underexposed import from Nikon D750

The monitor on my D750 shows a slightly overexposed image but when I import these pictures in LRCC its underexposed by 1 to 2 stops, is there something I need to do in LR to get image exposure the same as what I see on my camera monitor?

Make sure you do not have any of the dynamic lighting modes set up on your camera. These on purpose underexpose the image in camera and set a flag that only Nikon software knows how to read. Other raw converters will show an underexposed image.

Just to make sure I am understand it right, is it the Active D-Lighting, it was on and I turned it off. Hope that works and thank you very much.

Yes that is it. The active D-lighting setting causes the raw to be underexposed by 1 to 2 stops. I forgot what it was called and didn't have my Nikon body close by.
