AI can't generate text correctly

I'm really enjoying Generative AI in my workflow. One thing I have noticed, if I ask it to generate text on an item (such as a name on a birthday cake) it really struggles with this. For example, "Wendy" came out as "woioby" on a child's birthday card - we actually left it that way as it made us laugh!
Windows 11 Pro 22H2
Photoshop Beta 25.9.0
After creating background, prompt was "A unicorn holding a birthday cake with the word Wendy written on the cake"
None of the 3 variants could produce text true to the prompt

if I were you, I would just type on a separate layer what you want to write on the cake, and then use the warp tool to make it shaped to the cake. I really don't think generative AI is meant to add text on an image.

I agree with @vickim68445947 Generative Fill is a highly chancy way of adding text compared to simply using a Type layer with all the control it gives you of font, kerning, styles (that can't be used with embedded text.

@JosieJo2000 as with any AI generative model - including Firefly - this is a limitation of current AI. None of them can generate legible text at this time.

Midjourney is getting pretty good at generating words and logos. Give it a go.
