Hi.
Does anyone know how to fix this error? I can't pick colors from with the eye dropper. I have the most recent versión of Photoshop Beta: 25.4.0
I tried reseting preferences, erase them, hidding layers, etc.
Here is a capture of the problem:

I love how Adobe can mess with old features when they add some new in a updates.

Since I noticed nobody posted the obvious solution. Roll back to the previous version. Fixed it for me.
25.4 was having SERIOUS memory leaks for me. 13mb file causing 12GB ram usage.
The memory dropper is the just one of the issues with this new build.

Yeah. 25 seemed decent for a while, but it's been chugging lately after this latest release with its "performance improvements". I'm back on 24 for now.

Just go to Mac Settings and Give Full Disk Access - close and reopen photoshop, its going to Work 🙂

Sorry, Full disk access worked well initially, but the issue seems to remain, so Rolling back to the previous version helped me!

Same problem here, and one more problem is missing working tab in full screenmode ver 25.4. Terrible update.

Also just started experiencing this issue in the 24.5 release, not beta. Not consistently an issue, usually only if another window is open, like the colour window. Seems like this has been an issue for over a month, how many people need to flag this for it to be fixed?

I am also having this eyedropper issue. I love how we are paying to beta test Adobe's software for them.

Well, I'm not in beta anymore, this is the released "Stable" version and this problem is occurring.

Have reinstalled 2023 version 25.1 to make the eye dropper work.
Come on Adobe stop breaking things we all need when updating
the software. If it's not broken and all that...
Please can you also fix the snap to point in Illustrator and Photoshop,
these are vital for precision graphic and web design projects and
what we all pay you annual subscriptions for.

This happened to me running the latest PS 25.4 (OS 13.6.3), so I reinstalled the previous version 25.3.1 (OS 13.6.3) and it is working again.

Same.
Just amazing that we're paying so much for this. Apparently our subscription pays for totally unnecessary bolt-ons like the AI nonsense, but the breakage of basic functionality like this. Desperate to move away from Adobe.

Chiming in, same issue. Mac, OS 14.2.1 (23C71), PS 25.4.0, has full permissions in OS settings, getting the eyedropper error everyone else is mentioining.

for replication: select any shape, then try to use dropper tool to select color from screen. The error popup appears and it close the color selection window when click "ok"

VERY flipping annoying! Please address this as a matter of urgency Adobe, this is a super basic function that has been working fine for years....
