@FashionistaNYC

I've moved your post to Photoshop Beta.

Is the person on the generative fill layer or the background layer or another layer? Which layer is selected? Try hiding some of the layers.

Posting a screenshot will help us to help you.

This went to my SPAM so never saw this --- The Subject was on it's own layer and that layer is selected ---- I try to move the subject and it just leaves a white copy of the subject --- SEE FILE

Where is my post shown now that you moved it --- All the e mails I got from Adobe went to my spam

@FashionistaNYC

You are on the Background Copy layer and the Generative layer is still showing. The checkerboard indicates transparency.

Try this:

  • Undo to undo your move
  • Switch to the Generative Fill layer. This layer has a mask, so only the person should move
  • The person will now be in two places
  • Return to the Background Copy layer, make a loose selection, and let generative fill try its best to fill in what would have been behind the person.

Let us know how it goes
