Photoshop Beta crashed when importing from LrC

On Monday, my LrC and photoshop Beta were working as normal.  On Tuesday, PS Beta would either not open when importing from LrC or crash at splash screen.  I uninstalled both programs, and uploaded the latest versions, but still didn't work.  After trying several things, I opened a chat with tech support.  The agent took over my screen and poked around a bit.  Made a few changes to my graphics card which caused Nvidia to ask me to put my security key in a usb port.  I had no clue what Nvidia was asking for, and I had never seen that on the website before, although I don't go there often.  Suddenly, the agent left the chat and disconnected.   I requested another chat, and got a different agent.  I explained the issue I was having to this agent who promptly left the chat.  Thanks Adobe tech support.  Appreciate the help.

I finally called my computer repairman to come help.  He was not able to resolve the issue, but gave me a workaround.  I have to open PS  while LRC is completely shut down in order for it to work at all.  Even if LrC is open, and I click on the PS icon, it will not open.  I have to quit LrC, open PS, then open LrC to use Photoshop Beta on it's own, or to import a photo from LrC.   This is really aggravating.  I'd very much appreciate if someone can help me resolve this issue.   I'm running Windows 10 and Nvidia graphics card 3060, if that help.    Thanks so much.

First of all, don't use the beta. A beta is for testing purposes, to identify bugs. Use the stable production version.

What you need to do here is two things: first, update the driver for the RTX 3060. Go to Nvidia's site and find the Studio driver, not the Game Ready driver. When installing it, check "clean install" to remove all traces of the old driver.

Next, open the CC desktop app, and uninstall both Photoshop (beta or otherwise) and Lightroom Classic. Then reinstall Photoshop first, not the beta, the regular 27.0 version. Then next reinstall Lightroom Classic. This sequence matters.

When done, open LrC Preferences and check under External Editing that the correct Photoshop version is listed in the dropdown.

I'd recommend that you do not keep preferences when you uninstall Photoshop. Resetting preferences is always the first step in any troubleshooting, and the chances here are much better if you start with a clean sheet. That means you need to save out any custom actions and brushes so that they can be reloaded in the new install.
