The latest Photoshop Beta has many file formats missing including png

I just updated Photoshop Beta 25.13.0 and went to save a copy of a file and the file format export list only has very few options now...tried save as and sava as a copy and there is no PNG export. What happened to all the file formats and how do we export PNGs and other formats missing from the list?

Is your file RGB? I suspect that it's CMYK mode.

Beta versions are for testing purposes, don't use them for "real work" and report back any issues.

 The save as and save as a copy has removed file formats such as jpg and png. Now you have to go to Export as in order to save those file formats. I don't know what genius changed this but it stinks.

@SonseraeLeese

You didn’t answer my question regarding colour mode. Here are examples of flattened, 8bpc RGB and CMYK legacy Save As file formats:

It's a regular RGB photoshop file. I've always been able to save a copy as a jpg merged. That option doesn't come up anymore.

OK, but the missing options are exactly the same for CMYK. I don't use the beta. Other things to check are bit depth and alpha channels. Do you have Legacy Save as enabled in your File Handling Preferences?

That's like sweeping the dust under the rug.

There is a reason that file formats are missing from the Save As command:

1) The current document properties (mode, bit depth, alpha channels etc) are not suitable to Save As, one needs to Save a Copy

2) Legacy Save As isn't enabled in Preferences > File Handling

3) It's a bug
