How to use it

  1. Launch Photoshop Public Beta from Sept 1st 2024 or newer.
  2. Open a file with unwanted wires or cables
  3. Choose the Remove Tool
  4. Optional: To work non-destructively, add & select a new layer above the layer with wires and choose "Sample all layers" in the Remove Tool Options bar.
  5. Click on the "Find distractions" button - then choose [Wires & cables] in the One-click removal category.
  6. Photoshop will immediately detect & remove the wires.

  • Switch between CPU and GPU usage via the Preferences > Image Processing > Remove Tool (Faster = GPU, More Stable = CPU).

Expected Behaviors Notes:

  • unlike removing People Distractions - there is not an option to preview or change the selection.
  • does not remove utility poles.
  • does not eliminate the shadow of the wire.

We look forward to hearing your feedback and seeing your examples.

Sincere thanks,
