Dull and Washed Out Colors in Photoshop

I am getting washed out photos when I open a photo on photoshop. The photo thumbnials on my screen look in normal vibrant colors, similarly in lightroom and in any other software, but it totally changes when I open in photoshop. The colors also stay washed out and dull when I export them from photoshop.

All my settings are normal, but I'm not sure why this is happening. I have also just updated all softwares and I'm still geting the same problem. I work on macOS. Anybody has an idea or can help?

Noting that this is happening only when I open recently exported TIF files form lightroom. As I mentioned the thumbnails look perfectly fine.

A side by side screenshot would help.

Do these files have an embedded color profile? If not, all bets are off.

Hi!

Have you checked under the View menu if you have "Proof Colors" checked? This would change the color of your image on screen to reflect what it would look like in CMYK. Let us know?
