Error Code 403 - Photoshop Install

My place of employment recently got me a new MacBook Pro with an M2 silicon chip. When I try to download Photoshop through Creative Cloud, it fails almost instantly and cites error code 403, which then states to run updates and then try again. Even after doing that, signing out and signing in, uninstalling and reinstallingCreative Cloud, I'm always getting that same error code. Other apps install fine, it's just Photoshop that is the problem. Does anyone have any advice on how to get Photoshop to install?

My Adobe Suite license is through my company so I can't contact Adobe directly for help and our IT people here, who don't know much about Macs, don't seem to be figuring anything out either.

Hi @Timothy322922053s9d make sure you have downloaded the latest Creative Cloud desktop app first.

Then go to your CC desktop app refs and turn off auto update.

Sign out of CC desktop app and quit.

Go to your Activity Monitor (Mac App) and find anything active called Adobe and force quit.

Launch Creative Cloud app and sign back in.

Try installing again.

We downloaded Creative Cloud directly from Adobe's website so I'm assuming it's the latest version. Unless there are two versions, one for intel chips and one for silicon chips. But we weren't given a choice on what to download.

I tried the process you gave earlier and I still got the same error code. I will try again just to confirm.

@Timothy322922053s9d Also since you mentioned you are enterprise, confirm that your IT admin is allowing individuals to download applications - it is a setting in the Adobe Admin Console.

I did check for updates on the previous attempt, it said there were none.

As far as I'm aware my organization allows us to download. I didn't have any issues on my previous computer and I'm able to download other apps right now. It's just Photoshop that is the issue.

We tried the step by step instructions you gave in your previous post this morning, still getting the same error when we press install. So I'm still looking for a way to get the Photoshop install to work.

Hi @Timothy322922053s9d one last setting for your IT to check - there is a setting in the Admin console that disallows downloads within 30 days of release. They have to turn that ON to allow brand new downloads to install. Its off by default

I will pass that along to my administrators to see what settings they have set and to hopefully change them to correct the error. I will update when I know more.
