i try to install adobe prodcuts but im hit with the message...
1 Correct answer
In a few cases lately, Windows users have been directed to a Mac download of the CC app. Then you get this message.
Is the downloaded setup file an .exe or a DMG? If it's a DMG, it's the Mac installer.
Try a different web browser.

For anyone getting the incompatible message inside of Adobe Creative Cloud that says update windows, try this— I used Iobit uninstaller, selected "Force uninstall" from the top menu and got it to remove ALL of Creative Cloud (including reg entries) then restarted the PC. After downloading and reinstalling the creative cloud app it all worked fine and I could download all the updates for photoshop etc

In this case the problem was that the (Opera) web browser reports the wrong OS to Adobe, so that Windows users get a Mac installer.
For clearing out all traces of installed apps, Adobe provides the CC cleaner tool. Third party apps shouldn't be used for this.

I found that CC cleaner tool beyond useless it did NOTHING to help. A user can use whatever they choose if it works.
