When I create artboards (for example, 1000x1000px), I already know that I'm going to have very severe lags when working. Starting from 4-5 artboards, Photoshop starts to slow down and lag a lot. At 10-12 it becomes unbearable. At 40-45, freezes occur for how many minutes, even with operations such as layer removal and resizing. I want to note that the layers do not represent something impossibly heavy or high resolution. These are texts and images no more than 900x900px (72 dpi).
Usually my files contain 100-120 artboards. Obviously, it is impossible to work with such a volume. That's why I'm using the old version of Adobe Photoshop CC 20.0.7.. There are no lags in it.
How does this happen? Why does everything lag unbearably in the new versions and work very fast in the old ones? Why are you making new low-demand functions but paying absolutely no attention to the performance of the program? Why should I buy a new version if I can download the old one and work much faster than in the new version of Photoshop?
I have a good computer: Windows 11, Intel Core i7-10700F, 32MB RAM, SSD KINGSTON SKC3000S 1024Gb, Nvidia RTX 4090.
In this case, the computer does not matter because everything works fine on the same hardware on the old version of Photoshop. The whole problem is in the new versions of Photoshop.

Thank you so much. It certainly helped and made Photoshop more fast. But even now, new versions cannot compete in terms of speed with the old version of Photoshop (20.0.7). Developers need to think about this. Why do I need to look for some solutions so that the new photoshop doesn't lag? It's very strange.
Please improve the photoshop performance. Even using this method, photoshop is still a clumsy, very laggy program.
