Adobe is working on a fix for the Lasso tool problem already. I contacted them and someone from Adobe replied and will provide the fix soon.

Is there any way to go back to a previous install with Creative Cloud? This is killing our productivity.

For future Photoshop updates, I'll be first monitoring forums and blogs for at least a week before risking handicapping my workflow.

I also have this problem, backspace does not work on polygon tool! besides this it randomly closes the selection.

Adobe has been ignoring the randomly closing selection BUG for years.

Adobe Photoshop CC 64bit, Windows 8.1. Same issue on my windows 7 64 machines.

As a Creative Cloud subscriber we are all eligible to download for FREE all of the Adobe CS6 applications. So what I have done is downloaded Photoshop CS6, and I will continue to use it, until Adobe gets their act together.

I have realized this. I work from lightroom, where CC is the default editor. I can edit with CS6 by choosing it as an alternate editor. A bit more involved, but doable. It seems to me, however, that the problem should be easy enough for Adobe to fix, except they are probably boxing it with other bug fixes, and sticking to a release schedule users are not privy to, nor will they be. This seems to be Adobe's corporate mentality.

Actually i don't see a fix, by installing CS6. I think it's an elemantary tool in Photoshop and actually i would prefer a fix for it, since the problem exists now for some time.

I am having this issue as well on my Win7 machine with Photoshop 14.2. I tend to use the poly lasso tool constantly and the ESC key when I want to change or back out of an incomplete poly. The ESC key is definitely not working unless I hit it repeatedly. My work-around is hitting ENTER, getting the NO PIXELS SELECTED message, then clearing that out, and then going on with my task.

Additionally, when working with very involved images, I frequently need to zoom in when using the poly lasso, but now I find that I cannot CTRL+ to zoom in while the poly lasso is active.

Fixing this for those of us that rely on Photoshop for daily work would be fantastic.

Thank you!!

After I installed the latest update on January 16, 2014, I can no longer delete points when using the Magnetic Lasso tool. Is this a bug in my copy of Photoshop, or has this ability been removed?
