P: Crop tool flickering/stretching on MacOS 10.10

Photoshop CC2015 has introduced a strange behaviour with the crop tool.

I often use the crop tool in reverse - dragging out wider/taller to add some more canvas to an image. Sometimes I also use the arrow keys to nudge the crop tool's position.

With CC2015 - when nudging I get this weird flickering/bouncing effect where the image is momentarily stretched to the wider/taller crop area and then it bounces back to 100% size. Every arrow nudge causes this bounce to happen.

This is OS X 10.10 specific and I'm aware that there are known video driver issues but this did not happen with CC2014.

This should be solved by the CC 2015.1 update that was released today: https://blogs.adobe.com/photoshop/201...

Update your video card driver from AMD's website. If you have a second GPU in the system (like an integrated GPU), make sure you update that driver from the GPU maker's website as well.

Also, I just noticed that the crop is committed wrong when using it on an artboard. I'm getting the top left of the image when I crop the bottom center. This is not good! I have work to do!

I'll see if I can grab a video of what's happening here. It sounds like it may be an unrelated issue with the same tool (or a bug—I mean "feature"—in the artboard code).

Yeah, every time I move a handle the whole board jumps several inches (direction and distance change depending on which handle I grab).

Oh, I'm on:
Windows 8.1
ATI Radeon HD 2700M
Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-3635QM CPU @ 2.40GHz

I'm getting it since the artboards were introduced. Before that update came through, I don't remember this happening. It is nearly giving me a seizure every time I crop a photo. I guess this (incredibly basic) functionality is too advanced for the developers at Adobe. They seem to be struggling to even keep the software up and running at all in the past few years. Certainly they don't test the stuff before it is released ("Agile development" I think they call that).

For the amount I pay for my CC, I think they can hire an alpha tester or two. I literally cannot do a thing that any photo software on the planet can do. My stock photo app on my Galaxy Note 4 is now twice as useful as a piece of software that costs several hundred dollars (regardless of the pricing model). That's just sad.

There's possibly another bug with the crop tool:

Create a new doc.

Go to the crop tool.

Crop into the image but don't commit it.

Use scrubby zoom to zoom into a crop edge.

Result: the zoom jumps to the center of the image instead of the area you're zooming to...

This happens only one time and then works as expected after that unless you adjust the crop.

I can repro this issue. I will log a bug for the eng team.

I Get this more if I rotate the crop. Its impossible to see which way you are nudging some times. Is there a fix other than classic mode as this seems to be destructive?
