P: Extra rulers appear on image when moving Photoshop from one monitor to another

Hello,

I've recently started using apple studio display. Everything else work just as on my Macbook pro, but Photoshop has some issues. All my apps are up to date. 

As shown in the video, the picture does not show fully, it blinks every time I click on the mouse. And color looks weird and not the same as in Lightroom. 

Any help would be much appreciated!

First, try disabling GPU in the preferences (Performance). Any better?
If not, recalibrate and build a new ICC display profile; the old one might be corrupted. If you are using software/hardware for this task, be sure the software is set to build a matrix, not LUT profile, Version 2, not Version 4 profile.

Are you using a latptop with the studio display? If you quit and relaunch Photoshop while the monitor is connected, does it display/work normally? I suspect this has something to do with disconnecting and reconnecting to the monitor while Photoshop is launched.

I got my new Apple Studio Display monitor today and I've noticed exactly the same problem as yours. I was trying to check what is going on and I have noticed that after disconnecting StudioDisplay from my macbook the problem ramains - as long the Photoshop window is too big. I was checking some options and found out that Photoshop can't deal with StudioDisplay screen size. After reducing the window the problem dissapeared. After expanding it - the glitch returned. 

I have attached two screenshots showing the difference in windows size.

Did you try quiting and restarting Photoshop after you attach or unattach a monitor?

Yes, I did. The glitch occured everytime when the app window is too big. 
On the second screenshot you can see rulers which appeared unusual on the right and bottom - the moment when the window is too big is the moment when the rulesr appear.

Same problem, turning off "enable native canvas rulers" in technology previews sorted it but photoshop has become slow and bloat, and many of the changes more of a hinderance than an asset these days. When I can I am using affinity photo as much as I can.

I encountered the same, when I attached my second monitor. 
I changed some interface settings :
Go to the menu Photoshop > Preferences > Interface > and uncheck in the Presentation Section the option Scale UI To Font. then quit Photoshop en start Photoshop again.
For me it solved the "ghost rulers" or "glitch rulers"

An update to rulers was made in the 24.2 release that should resolve this issue.  Please install the update and give it a try. If you previously checked the “Deactivate Native Canvas” checkbox in Preferences > Technology Previews… uncheck that box and restart photoshop.

Thanks, Erin26. I had no rulers at all. Went into Edit > Preferences > Technology Previews > TICKED the box saying "Deactivate Native Canvases" and restarted PS. When I reopened, the rulers were automatically there! March 2023
