P: Magnetic Lasso Tool & Apple Trackpads

LEGEND ,
Sep 04, 2011 Sep 04, 2011

While using the magnetic lasso tool on a Macbook Pro, gesture-based zooming and scrolling does not work. After exiting lasso tool, all attempted gestures play out. That is, the image zooms and scrolls wildly until they're through.

I see the behavior you are talking about. The same thing happens with the Polygonal Lasso tool as well. You can actually replicate the same behavior with any tool if you hold down the "mouse" button and then try to perform gestures. I'll report this to our engineers.

As a workaround, the keyboard shortcuts still work for zoom, whether Command++ or Command+-.

Scroll wheel zoom while using lasso tool, this used to work with CS4, but not anymore with CS5.5 (don't know about CS5). The zooms go to a buffer which unreleases itself when lassoing is done. Major workflow flaw.

Scroll wheel zoom does work when creating paths, so I'm guessing it's a bug.
