P: Materials panel does not open

Thanks! The update v24.1.1 fixed my issues with Materials Panel and Delete and Fill function!

Evviva!!! Con l'aggiornamento di Photoshop 24.1.1 sono ritornati i Materiali ed in MODIFICA la funzione Elimina e Riempi. Grazie ai  Tecnici che hanno lavorato a questo problema!

Thanks Dave that's what I figured. As a thought maybe the tool  in future could be just called "Material Drop tool" with the 3D removed. And then could be used in a simlar way to the paint bucket tool but just for materials to fill in a selection and create a smart filter or layer mask on  the layer.

@HUnknown1  No, 3D is deprecated and being removed from Photoshop.

The Materials panel is separate to 3D functions and was introduced to enable the use of sbsar materials in a 2D composite in a similar way to using other patterns.

Yes it is working again for me too. I was just wondering however is the panel supose to work with the 3D Material Drop tool? When I select the tool the Loaded Material is Default and the Load Selected and Drop down link in the Options panel remain disabled. I only ask because with other tools like gradients or custom shapes you can access the shape or gradient from the Tool's options menu or panel. So in this case I would think it would be the same for Materials?

@Jody5F91 If you are seeing 24.1,0 then you have the previous version not the version currently being rolled out which is v24.1.1.  You are not alone.  Adobe staff confirmed it is being rolled out on a phased basis over a day or two. Keep checking the CC app for it to appear in updates - if you don't see it in a day or so try closing the app, re-opening then click 'Check for Updates'

I did see an update in the CC app for PS, however after installing the materials bug has not been resolved…also, after installing I checked the build number and it is 24.1.0, will there be a second 24.1.1 build released later today?
