Hi @IanBarber! Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. I’ve shared this with the rest of the team, and we’re looking into it now. Hopefully we’ll have a fix in place soon!
Could you share a few more details about what’s happening? I tried creating multiple pattern groups with the same name on my end, but I’m not seeing the numbers being added at the end. How are you creating or importing those pattern groups?
If the numbers are getting in the way, you can right-click and rename them to clean things up a bit.
Appreciate the info Alek

Yes although I can rename them, the issue I have is that I have UXP plugins which rely on the actual pattern name when imported and adding numbers to the end is causing the UXP plugin to fail.

When importing brushes a "0" is added to the end of the folder name. This must be a bug.
It's probably related to the feature of adding numbers to each redundant import. For example, in previous PS versions, if you imported a brushpack of the same name mulitple times, it would add numbers to the end. However, it correctly skipped the zero.
Brushpack
Brushpack1
Brushpack2
etc.
This issue does not appear in PS 2022, the verion I've updated from.
