P: Photoshop 25.7 on macOS 11.7.1 Does not launch - Showing incompatible on Big Sur

Latest update today (25.7) claims to still be compatible with macOS 11.7.1 but not for me. Tried unistall/reinstall with no luck. Going back to 25.6 works fine.

I was also using the beta, but can't remember the last version I opened. Regardles, the beta no longer works either, same error message that is attached.

Is this my issue or did 25.7 outgrow macOS Big Sur?

Thanks

OK, I took a chance and installed 25.9 on Big Sur. It's working so far.

Sorry, I wrote wrong path. It must be /Applications/Adobe Photoshop 2024/Adobe Photoshop 2024.app/Contents/Frameworks/AdbePM.framework

Temporaly workaround for run 25.7 on Big Sur is replace /Applications/Adobe Photoshop 2024/Adobe Photoshop 2024.app/Contents/MacOS/Frameworks/AdbePM.framework by these framework from version 25.6.

So 25.7 will work in the future? That is good, because a new computer is not in the budget right now. thank you for the update Sameer!

I agree. Same problem. Downgraded to 25.6 and Photoshop now runs properly.

Hi, I have been having the same issues. Would be good to know when Adobe plan to straighten out the issue be it with correcting the system requirement information or with the app actually working on Big Sur 11.7.10. Very annoying as Photoshop Beta was working this morning but I then updated to get rid of the annoying yellow 'You need to update' window and then it would no longer open. I have no idea what Beta version I was on before but none of the three version I have the option to install will open.

I'm having same problem with my MacBook Profrom late 2013.  When I try to update Big Sur, I receive message that it is up to date.  Is my laptop just too old?

Thanks!

A late 2013 MacBook Pro is limited to Big Sur, which is now out of support by Apple and apparently Adobe. You will run into problems with your video card and Photoshop soon enough. Its time to upgrade your computer.
