P: Photoshop can't open, freezes on splash image, uses all of ram trying to open then crashes.

I have googled every possible variation of this problem and tried every fix for this problem, none of them worked. I have tried reinstalling photoshop, deleting everything even remotely related to photohop in the appdata, deleting custom fonts, restarting the computer, updating graphics and computer, and holding every possible combination of alt, ctrl and shift while trying to launch in administrator mode. The result is always the same. It opens the splash image, gets to loading preferences or brushes, spikes RAM usage to every last byte of RAM I have, freezes the computer, then crashes.

And no i'm not running it on a potato i'm running it on an Alienware Aurora 4090, it should have more than enough power to handle this and Photoshop ran perfectly fine for months. Then just today it crashed and has never started up again.

Photoshop version 25.11

UPDATE

We identified a problem with a recent Adobe update that caused Photoshop and several other Adobe beta apps to fail to launch. We’ve released an updated installer to fix this problem. Please download and install the latest Creative Cloud beta applications. This update should resolve the launch issue.

Thanks,

Cory - Photoshop Product Manager

Hey, I solved the problem!!! Use the Creative Cloud Cleaner tool to remove all the BETA applications... ALL of them.

Hi everyone, just want to know if there is anyone out there that has the same problem with photoshop as I do, after the last update, whenever I try to open it, it starts to load, and then it just freeze, doesn`t do anything, i have tried to uninstall it and install it again, still nothing .. same problem.

I use windows, app version 25.11.0.706, it was updated 2 days ago to this version.

SOLUTION FOUND
Use creative cloud to uninstall ALL beta apps (including media encoder).

After that, regular apps should work.

There's something in an XML file related to a beta app that is causing TinyXML to call a function over and over to allocate memory - causing ALL apps to hang on launch and consume all system memoy.

SOLVED: This is caused by any kind of beta of any kind of the Adobe app. I just solved it by deleting all of them (had the After Effects and the Encoder). The cleaner does nothing. I had to get rid of the betas through the CC app itself. Funny thing is that I had to find the solution myself on reddit as it seems Adobe itself has no idea what is going on. Hope this helps.

I was just with support for the last hour. She walked me thru how to rename all adobe files in all areas of my computer to adobe.old including the app data area, the program file, common files  and the  program 86x area. We renamed everything with an adobe file   Then we did a complete clean and re-installed creative cloud. We were then able to retrieve all of my settings and actions etc.  it works great now. Hope this helps

I have done everything Bogdan Bobo suggested. Additionally, I have removed all adobe files manually from from c/program files, c/program files x86, and c/program data folders. I've restarted, and reinstalled version 22.2. For some reason creative cloud keeps giving my 32 bit installs when I'm running a 64 bit machiene. Version 22.2 was completely unusable, and I tried one update at a time up to version 25.0, but none of them worked. Now what? Is Adobe working on a fix that will be compatable with windows 11? It worked fine up until yesterday.

I just deleted the Betas I had (Photoshop & Premiere) from CC app, rebooted, and all is well.  No cleaning process required here.

Same issue, suddenly out of the blue I cannot open Photoshop, and I REALLY need it working right now!

Uninstalling and reinstalling didn't work, nor did Adobe Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool. Nothing is working 😕

PLEASE tell me someone at Adobe is reading this and will fix it FAST?! 🙏🏻
