P: Photoshop (v25.5.1 & v25.6) opening with black/blank home screen

Hey folks!

I was working with photoshop and illustrator, then I went to lunch and closed both apps.
When booting them up again, Photoshop "home screen" is black. I can't open recent files.

When I open a saved .psd, the file opens correctly.

Already updated to the 25.5.1 version.

Not the one above me but the Rename one.

I think it's in the 3rd page. He said just rename UXD file to UXD.old and that's it. Done

This way I could fix the bug.

Just followed the steps, deleted folder content and everything is all right now.

This issue began today and may be related to the recent Windows update.

Note also, this happened in Premiere Pro too, but only once. As soon as I noticed the issue in Photoshop, I started checking my other apps. Premiere pro has been working normally since. After Effects and Audition are also fine.

But photoshop was working normally when I left the house (before the Windows update). I returned 20 minutes later, and I had no Home screen on Photoshop startup, nor can I get to the home screen by clicking the Home icon/button while in a project.

On startup it looks as though the home screen/window appears for an instant and then disappears. The home screen may even flicker a bit before disappearing. Either way, the home screen disappears quickly.

Clicking the icon/button while in an open project (icon/button not available on startup), the home screen/window does not appear.

NOTE:

1) I have reset preferences

2) Show home screen is enabled

3) I reset PS completely

4) I then uninstalled/reinstalled PS

But the issue persists. Here's a video:

Olá, pessoal! Eu fui abrindo no photoshop hoje pela manhã, normalmente, ai de repente depois do almoço, apareceu só ficou preto toda tela e como vou trabalhar no photoshop. E tentei de clicar em photoshop para abrir ai mesma coisa tela ficou preto. Alguém já aconteceu?

@robbyn30297452 . Thank U. I agree 100% of what you said. I don't care about anything else, other then getting this fixed! It's affecting my work flow as well as others! Everytime I get email notication from someone posting, Im thinking and praying it's going to be a fix.

Everybody telling people to do this and that to see if it fixes it.First thing this many people are not going to have the same problem.Its the program and update. Everybody saying 25.6.0 is Beta then why did it come out as a normal update? I dont do beta.It wont even run on a 3 day old M2 Max. Camera Raw dont even show up in it. PS is the only program on this computer besides what was on it out of the box.
