P: Photoshop won't open some files, but there is no error message

Hey all wondering if someone else has encountered this issue or knows of a solution. I'm running PS 2023, updated to version 24.6. I'm working off a Macbook Pro, OS Ventura 13.4.1. My issue is that some PSD files open without issue in PS, and some, when I try to open them, nothing happens. No error message ever appears, and I don't know what is causing certain files to not open. Basically I'll double click on some select PSD files, Photoshop will start up like normal, but then the file never opens. Anyone have any solutions? I've uninstalled PS and reinstalled several times, and I"ve made sure both the laptop and app are completely updated.

Hi @Joe31089845qgxx your setup looks ok. Where are the files located? Local HD, cloud synced storage, external drive, server etc?

I've tried both an external drive and the desktop, the same files won't open from either location and the working files will open from either location.

Sounds like a potentially corrupted file - is it always the same files that do not open?

Thank you for sending the file @Joe31089845qgxx, we got an error that the "Pantone colors used may no longer be available due to the changes in Pantone's licensing with Adobe", do you see this?  In Ps 2022 the file opened as expected but in Ps 2023 gave this error and then nothing happened.

Will pass this on to the team to investigate.

@Suppress Go to Photoshop Help Menu/System Info and copy/paste details in a reply. Post only once as the system takes time to process the large amount of data.
