MacOS Sequoia 15

Photoshop 2024 and Photoshop (Beta)

Top menu not working after opening camera raw filter from Photoshop, making an edit and going back to Photoshop.

Steps to reproduce
Open an image in Photoshop, make edits as usual

Select Filter > Camera Raw Filter

Make an edit, like adding a Vignette
Click OK to go back to image
Click on any item in the top menu - nothing is clickable

Must force quit application and reopen for menu items to be clickable again

Hi All! The team has observed a fix for this issue with the release of macOS v15.5. Please update the macOS & report back if the issue exists.

Thanks!

I have tested someone's idea to switch to adobe bridge and go back to photoshop - it works. The bar is useable again. I guess this will be the fix until they work on the bug.

Hey @cwn94367593, welcome to the community! Sorry to hear you're running into this issue.

Could you tell us a bit more about what’s happening? What version of Photoshop are you using? Does the problem show up after a specific action or tool, or is it more random?

One thing you can try right away is resetting Photoshop preferences. That often helps clear up unexpected issues. Here’s how to do that: https://adobe.ly/4kfqBFA

Let me know how it goes, and feel free to reach out with any questions!
Alek

Hello @Aleke, I am still experiencing the same issue. The top toolbar " File, Edit, Image, Layer etc..." initially works after opening application but is frozen or unable to drop down its option. Hot keys still work. I have recently pdated to the most recent PS application.

Great News! It fixes itself after I go into the "Save for Web" menu with Cmd+Option+Shift+S. At least, this method worked for me.

What also works is using one of the Filters like Lens Correction with Shift+Cmd+R
