P: Ps 26.8 Corner Radius Handles Missing After Update.

Community Beginner ,
Jun 18, 2025 Jun 18, 2025

Hi everyone,
I recently updated my Photoshop to the latest version, and I noticed a change with the Rectangle Tool.

Previously, after drawing a shape with the Rectangle Tool, I could see four corner radius points which allowed me to adjust the curves individually using the Move Tool. However, after the update, those points no longer appear or respond as they used to.

Is this a known change in the latest update? Or is there a new method to enable corner radius control like before?

Would really appreciate any help or suggestions. Thanks in advance!

@Vijay_Zebronics the issue has been reported here and acknowledged by Adobe

As a work around, either select the Path Selection Tool or one of the Shape Tools

OK, was able to reproduce on my end. The details I was missing were that it occurs while using the Move tool and with the Show Transform Controls option enabled. This makes the handles appear but you are unable to move them. The workaround is to use one of the Shape tools (Rectangle or any of the others), and then the handles are usable.

Hey folks, just updated today my photoshop and I'll relate some issues i'm finding.

1) When i open a PSD file (not all psd but a bunch of them) it aways open an adobe page "how to use type tool". I don't know why this happen. Used to happen in another versions too.

2) Can't edit a rectangle roundness trough the dots in the shape (like in illustrator), it simply don't work.

Hey @Gabriel5E9E

That sounds frustrating, and I’m sorry you’re running into this. I’m going to move your post to Discussion for now until we have more details about the issue. Could you please share a screenshot of the "How to use the Type tool" Adobe page that you're seeing? That’ll help us better understand what might be going on.

Could you maybe also show a screen shot of the rectangle issue? It's working on my end

I've recorded my screen because it's easier to show.

The live corners doesn't work. I can only set roundness torugh properties or another way (showed in the video).

@gabriel5E9E have you tried manually resetting your Photoshop preferences

Remember to back up your settings before doing the preference reset

@creative_Paradise8262 just checked with Photoshop version 26.8 on my system and having the same issue, somebody else reported it here

https://community.adobe.com/t5/photoshop-ecosystem-discussions/photoshop-26-8-0-bugs/m-p/15375667#M8...

Resetting the preferences doesn't fix it, as I've tried that already

You can still move them with the rectangle or path selection tool selected

@Semaphoric are you selecting the move tool to move the radius points, with show transform controls enabled, as per the video the OP uploaded, it works in version 26.7 but not in 26.8

@Ged_Traynor  I was using the Shape tool. It also works properly using the Path Selection tool. When using the Move tool, the problem the OP describes occurs. The radius icons are visible, and hovering over them changes the cursor to a small arc, but they can not be moved.

Thanks for the video.

Here are a couple things to try, other than resetting preferences as suggested by Ged_Traynor.

First, is disabling Rulers. On some machines, these can interfere with the UI experience and performance.

Second, try disabling Preferences > Performance > Use Graphics Processor (you'll have to create or open files after changing this setting, it does not apply to already open files). This modifies the behavior of the UI and can resolve some issues.

Hi, I recently updated my Photoshop to the latest version, and I noticed a change - After creating a shape, i can able to adjust the corner radius using the handle that appears while clicking that shape. Now, after the update, it is working only for the first time. Cannot adjust it for another time, the handles showing but cannot able to move. Is it a bug?
