P: Status Bar Color Space Not Updating

Photoshop 23.5

Issue: Status Bar Color Space no longer updating live

I have also noticed this on Windows and Mac.

With a document open, if you either assign or convert to a different profile, the information in the status bar is NOT updating automatically as it used to do.

Indeed, I see the same issue. I'll file an internal bug report; good catch!

The Info palette also does not update.

Actually, Adobe is aware of this issue, which should be fixed in the next release.

In the latest release of Photoshop 23.5.0 while changing the ruler increments the Document Dimensions information line at the bottom of the app window doesn't update in real time. It only updates when you resize the app window. Watch: https://nic.box.com/s/poh54qfr10vgsos5abnykskzau4rzl34

Hi, I just found that the newest Photoshop update has an error with the document color profile indication on the window pane. As you all know the 'document profile' shows which ICC profile the current image has at the moment. But it doesn't update the info even when the profile has changed to another. This is the first time I found this kind of error, never seen before. Please correct it as soon as possible.

Have you tried resetting the Photoshop preferences back to the factory defaults – you can do that under the General tab in Photoshop preferences, then closing and reopening the application?

This is clearly an update bug! In version 23.5. the described problem does not occur, but after the update to 23.5.1. this problem is present!

I just tested it on my MacBook Pro M1 using PS 23.5.1 without any issues.

Maybe you should consider using the Adobe Cleaner Tool to remove Photoshop and perhaps earlier versions and do a clean reinstall of the application.

We have several Macs in our company (Macminis, iMacs). After updating to 23.5.1 - the same effect on all of them.

Can also report this is still not fixed in the latest v23.5 update.
This bug has completely ruined my workflow.

Notes: I've noticed if you duplicate the image (Image > Duplicate) the duplicate has the correct profile but the bug persists on any further changes unless duplicated again.

Since upodating to the latest PS update (yesterday). I have noticed that (at the bottom left) the document size does not update when adding a duplicate layer. However, if I choose another option then revert to the document size it does update.  Also after using tools say brush, stamp, healing brush, etc I find that using keyboard shortcuts becomes flakey and often do they do not work.

I am on Mac OS 12.5.1

In the lower left corner of the window you can choose, what kind of information will be displayed. I always want to see, which color profile is attached to the image.

When you change the color profile, the new profile name ist not dispayed in the lower left corner. There is still the old profile beeing displayed.

This should be fixed in the next major release. You can try it out earlier by installing the Photoshop (beta). https://creativecloud.adobe.com/campaign/creative-cloud?workflow=route-to-path&route-path=/apps/beta...

It's a separate app, so it won't overwrite the release version.

Buonasera,
