P: Unable to save an animated gif with a loop count > 32

Community Beginner ,

I am using Photoshop CC 2014 on OSX 10.9.5.

I can set the loop count to be a number greater than 32 from within the timeline panel, but when I get to the Save for Web screen, it changes the looping options to Other(32). If I try to manually change it to > 32 on the Save for Web screen it tells me a value between 1 and 32 is required.

Why is this limitation here? If I use a tool like Gifsicle I'm able to create > 32 loops.

Thanks.

It looks like there's at least a mismatch in the limit check between the Timeline and Save for Web.

I'm not certain of why the limitation. Curious if "Forever" would work for your purposes.

Unfortunately, forever won't work for me in this instance. The total animation needs to run for a specific amount of time, so I calculate the number of loops in order to make that happen.

Can anyone else provide any insight here?
