P: When converting a grayscale image to a bitmap image with active selection fails w/program error

Mac OS 10.12.1 running Photoshop 2017.0.0. When trying to convert a grayscale image to a bitmap image, if any amount of the image is selected conversion fails and a program error alert appears.

This issue is fixed in the Photoshop CC 2017.1 update.  Please update Photoshop by clicking "Update" in the Creative Cloud desktop application next to Photoshop.

Hi Adam, I can reproduce this issue with "Pattern Dither" and an output above 300dpi. The workaround is to deselect and then do the conversion. I'll log a bug for the eng team.
