P: When converting a grayscale image to a bitmap image with active selection fails w/program error

Mac OS 10.12.1 running Photoshop 2017.0.0. When trying to convert a grayscale image to a bitmap image, if any amount of the image is selected conversion fails and a program error alert appears.

Please update Photoshop by clicking "Update" in the Creative Cloud desktop application next to Photoshop.

Hi Adam, I can reproduce this issue with "Pattern Dither" and an output above 300dpi. The workaround is to deselect and then do the conversion. I'll log a bug for the eng team.
