P: (Win) Photoshop 26.11 crashes when using color picker in color replacement

Community Beginner ,

Since a few days, Photoshop freezes each time when using image --> adjustments --> Replace color. I'm on Windows 11. I tried on the PC of someone else, and got the same issue. Anyone else encountering this problem? Any suggestions how to fix it?

@james_8179 you don't need to avoid using it, just disable this option in the preferences and restart Photoshop

@maaikev50062091 same issue here, clicking here to bring up the colour picker and using the eye dropper on the image seems to trigger it

Disabling this option in the preferences and restarting Photoshop seems to fix the issue

Hey, @maaikev50062091 and @Stefan-71. Welcome to the Photoshop Community. Thanks for your reports and @Ged_Traynor for validating the issue and providing the workaround. Since I can recreate this behavior, I've leveled it up for the team to look into.

Thanks!

Thank you for that, I'll avoid using it and wait for Adobe to fix and update us all.
