Photoshop keeps going away.

New Here ,
Sep 30, 2025 Sep 30, 2025
Some days i open PS but see this instead: "You can't open the application "Adobe Photoshop 2025" because it may be damaged or incomplete." It is hard to get it reopened. I can't find any old invoice or serial numbers to help me. And I really don't what I will do when my payment needs to be updated!

Hi!

What version of Photoshop are your running? Have you tried to reset your preferences? Here is a help doc that will give you a little more information and walk you thorugh the steps: https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/using/preferences.html

Let us know if that helps or if the issue still persists.

Hi @default46151746kmprtv

Sorry to hear about this experience. Resetting preferences, as suggested by @mglush, should help resolve such issues, but please make sure to create a backup of preferences as suggested in the link shared. If the issue still persists, could you please share the following details so we can investigate further:

  • Your System Info (Photoshop > Help > System Info > copy and paste here)

  • A screenshot of the exact error message you’re seeing.

  • Does this issue occur every time you launch Photoshop, or only occasionally?

  • Have you made any recent changes to your system (e.g., OS updates, moving app files, etc.) before this started happening?

This information will help us narrow down the cause and suggest the best next steps for you.

Regards,

Srishti
