Last week I updated to PS 25.12 because the problem with the Alt keyboard shortcuts in various panels had finally been solved. Now I've reverted once again to PS 25.4 because another workflow breaking bug cropped up: the color picker wheel that pops up when I press the ALT key to change the brush color is showing the wrong colors. The lighter the color I select, the more the color displayed in the color wheel around the cursor is off. When I click on a completely white pixel, the color picker wheel around the cursor shows a light yellow instead. It only displays the color wrong, the actually selected color is the right one.
The problem is easy to reproduce:
- Create a new blank document
- Select the brush tool
- Hold the Alt key and select at a random spot on the white canvas
- The color picker wheel around the cursor doesn't show the selected color as white but as pale yellow
I've got this problem on two different computers where I've upgraded to PS 25.12. I've reset all settings completely, but the problem persists. So I've once again reverted to PS 25.4 because that's the only version that has working ALT keyboard shortcuts in panels AND a working color picker in Brush mode while holding the ALT key.
