I attached the details of the crash through Error Send.
I tried installing 2025 as a trial, and I also changed it to image processing's fast -> stable, which many users said was the solution. (As far as I know, stable is an option arising from a year-long error in select subject to avoid a crash from gpu processing. cpu processing)
However, both options are too slow compared to previous versions, and Crash occurred. (Actually Crash in Remove Tool also happens in 25.12. The computer just turns off, not just Crash. So before you use Remove Tool, you should always be nervous and press Ctrl+S to save psd).
Of course, my driver is a studio driver, and it's the latest version of 565.90.
I would like Photoshop to provide features that can actually be used reliably.
Of course, I know there will be people who use it without errors.
But since this is a bug reporting tab, I don't need to make unnecessary comments like no problem.
I don't know if this is fixed in the current beta.

I reported the exact same issue, Using Remove Tool often crashes Photoshop.

@lucellent Yes, I also pressed vote on your thread.
Community volunteers often share information with each other, but this crash, or very slow speed, has actually often been a matter of Photoshop itself rather than a user issue.
So the stable option is not the solution.
I just have to wait for updates from Adobe and Nvidia.

The removal tool seems to only crash when using it in distracting mode. This is what most users experience.

I am using a PC with an i9 processor, 1TB SSD, 1TBHDD, and 32GB ram, with Intel
Model UHD Graphics 770 and Device ID 8086-A780a NVIDIA
Model GeForce RTX 4060 Ti, updated to the latest driver. The remove tool was fantastic until this latest PS update. It is now so slow that it is unusable. Even the smallest spot takes up to 10 seconds to remove. One cannot even spot a bunch of specks and wait for the computer to catch up; I just get a sound and any attempted spot removal isn't registered. I turn off the Generative AI, and I I have tried switching between "Stable" and "Faster", and nothing helps. Please keep the Generative AI feature on a separate tool.
