Save for web "A write permissions error has occurred " after updating Ventura, Photoshop v24.5

I just updated my Mac OS to ventura, opened photoshop and tried to keep my workflow... but when I try to Save for web an error message appears "Could not complete this operation. A write permissions error has ocurred". I already reset photoshop preferences, increased memory usage on photoshop preferences, restarted my mac and looked at community threads, but I do not use or have installed Dropbox.

I also tried to Save for web on my google drive, same error.

Go to Apple System Settings/Security and Privacy/Full Disk Access and make sure PS is listed and active.

Thank you Cory, but the error persists. I gave full disk access to photoshop and still can't save for web... The problem occurs just on save for web in photoshop. All adobe software and even other savings in photoshop are working normally.

Do you have any other hint?

Thank you for the update @marcelov29722114 you mentioned that you reset your prefs, but did you do a clean remove/recreate?

Let's make sure we're in a default state and there are no stale settings somewhere:

Does it work correctly?

If that doesn't solve it, you can quit Photoshop and put the Settings folder back.

It may help if we could see your Photoshop System Info. Launch Photoshop, and select Help >System Info...and copy/paste the text in a reply.

I have had the same problem for a few months. I have given all the access and permissions that have been suggested, I hav uninstalled Dropbox, I've reset the preferences as you have suggested below. None of these actions have remedied the problem. I would also appreciate some help.

If its after you hit the Save button, where are you saving to?

Thank you for the response. I have solved the problem by removing Microsoft OneDrive from my Macbook. After I completed its removal, the Save for Web functioned perfectly. I

Just some further feedback - changed my cloud backup to iCloud and this does not interfere with Save for Web so I am sorted out.

To answer your question, I am using PS Desktop 25.1.0.

Hi Kevin

I have sorted the problem out by removing Microsoft One Drive from my Macbook.

The problem occurred right at the end of the "save" procedure, after I'd chosen the destination folder and clicked "save", the very final step.

Thank you for your response and trying to help me. By the way, iCloud backup does not interfere with Save for Web, only Dropbox and OneDrive, in my view.

The only issue here is that I can't remove Onedrive. It's my company cloud.

I had the same problem - couldn't get rid of OneDrive since it's a company computer. Instead of clicking "Save," I tried clicking "Preview" in the bottom left hand corner. That showed the GIF in my browser. I was able to then manually drag it to my desktop. Hope this helps!
