P: Find Layers, Name field becomes out of focus when entering text

For those of you who use the search layers function in photoshop often, have you been having an issue with it over the last few months? Every time I start to type something now, it loses focus as if I’ve clicked out of the text box, but I haven’t. I can get 1 letter, maybe 2, before the focus is no longer in the text box. Is this happening to other people or am I doing something wrong.

@tbirdie Thank you for reporting the issue. I was able to reproduce it. It seems this issue has existed since version 25.10 (Ps 2024.) The team will be looking into it.

In the meantime, a workaround is to select Background layer  or select no layers in Layers panel when entering the search text in Name field. I hope this helps.

Awesome, I appreciate you looking into that and working on a resolution.  It really messes with the workflow, all the extra clicks around to finish typing.  Looking forward to the fix!
