Select Subject no longer working after updating to PS 2026
Is there a reason that select subject no longer works, or is it a bug? Or was it changed and has some really dumb extra step that I'm supposed to do in order to get it to work?
I tried changing it to device instead of cloud and the button appears like I can click it, and then says I can't do it because it is not available anymore.
How do I fix this so that I don't have to keep going back to the previous version, just to select subject and then back to the new one? Or just use the old version until fixed? Which is what I had to do for something else similar to this. Had to use the previous one for almost a year before something was fixed and able to use the new version.
Edit: So I noticed that if I manually click on a layer further down, it allows me to use it........so this definitely is a bug or a bad change that for some reason was intentional. Before I could do it above my frequency separation group and above my dodge and burn grey layer and it would work perfectly fine for the past 5 years......this new version it no longer works and forces me to click layers further down, create a mask and then move the mask.......3 extra steps that should not exist.
