I have a project that needs an image to be CMYK with a color depth of 32 but when I try to put the image in CMYK mode i'm unable to select the 32 bit/channel. My question is how do I convert an image to CMYK color mode that has a color depth of 32?
...or do you actually mean 8 bit (8+8+8+8=32) ?
CMYK is pretty much always 8 bits per channel. There are four channels, so 4 x 8 = 32 bits per pixel. Perhaps this is what your project requirements are really saying.

I've moved this from the Using the Community forum (which is the forum for issues using the forums) to the Photoshop forum so that proper help can be offered.

CMYK is strictly for commercial offset printing, so 32 bit depth doesn't make any sense. If you need 32 bit, do it in RGB and convert a copy to 8 bit CMYK when done (in the appropriate CMYK color space of course). That's all any offset presses can handle.
