I hope someone can help me here. I am JUST now learning about 3D normal maps and was happy to see that my beloved Photoshop can do this trick. The issue I am facing is everytime I go to try and create a 3D Normal Map of my image I get the following error...
"The 3D features require that "Use Graphics Processor" is enabled in the Performance prefrences. Your video card must meet the minimum requirements and you may need to check that your driver is working correctly."
"Use Graphics Processor" - is enabled and still no joy.
PC Spec:
GeForce RTX 4070 Ti
64gb Ram
Ryzen 7 7800X 3D 4.2ghz
Is there any way around this never ending error?
Adobe is in the process of removing 3D and related functions from Photoshop, so you'll need to install Photoshop 22.2 for fully working 3D from your Adobe Creative Cloud Desktop Application.

You know this has a name right? starts with "enshi..." and ends with "...ttification". That is the only way they can force substance down people's throats. Sorry if it offends Adobe's poor little heart.

As someone has commented the newer versions of photoshop remove the useful 3D tools (having had some awful ones for a few years which never performed very well.) At least Adobe is admitting 3D graphics have bested their engineer teams and threw the towel in.
"NVIDIA Texture Tools Exporter" is what you might want to get which has PS plugins. Alternatively, I have used online Normal Map Generator tools which perform well.

Or do as Jeff advised and use v22.2 which can be installed alongside the current version and is available from the CC desktop app.
