Accessing individual layers using "Place Linked"

Hi,

I was wondering whether it's possible to "live link" individual layers from one PSD document into another. The Place Linked command works for linking a merged PSD document, but I am wondering whether I can do the same and have access to individual layers. Something along the lines of "Place Linked + Choose Visible Layers", without having to re-save the original document and changing the layer visibility.

you can try to use Layer Comps in your source document - just prepare any compositions (eg. layers) you want to use

In your destination document just after you placed source PSD file you can use Properties panel and change compositions - but no layers
