Hi!
I've discovered a weird bug.
I have a shape layer with certain effects on it. It should look like this:
I've set and adjustment B&W layer on it
(this bug occured either this effect was applied to a group of layers or to a layer directly)
Now watch, the effect layer is disabled (invisible), however the layer it's applied to and its effects look different now:
This bug occures only if adj. layer is clipped to a layer or a group of layers (while invisible).

Could you please post meaningful screenshots including the pertinent Panels instead of unconnected piecework?
Does the Group contain visible elements?

Ok, np
So, here is the scene, just a piece of rasterized background.
On it a have a group, containing 1 shape layer with effects. I've created a B&W adj layer. Right now it's invisible, right?
And now it's still invisible, but clipped to the group.

You can't zoom in images from the post? Omg. Okay, once again.

When something is Clipping Masked to a Group (or a Layer Style is applied to it) the Layers Styles within it which affect the background lose their individual Blend Modes relative to the background.
I had actually thought it also affected the Layers’ Blend Modes but I guess I misremembered.
Feel free to post a Report over on

The behaviour seems curious to say the least, so if you find an existing Report or create one please post the link here.
