Adjustment layer effects on a group are affecting all groups including and below the intended one

Hi,

I'm trying to apply an adjustment layer to a group of images within a composite document.

Unfortunately, the adjustments are not only affecting the intended group, but every other group below.

I had a quick look online and in previous incarnations of Ps you could select Open Preferences > Performance... check "Legacy Compositing" and then close & reopen files; or restart Photoshop.

However as of version 22, the Legacy Compositing checkbox is no longer available in the performance preferences.

Any ideas?

Cheers for any help

When using Adjustment layers they affect EVERY layer underneath it.... UNLESS ... you click "Click to Clip" in the adjustmel panel (see below) so it ONLY effects specific layers or specific groups.

Hope that helps!
Merry Christmas!

Change the blending mode of the group from 'Pass through' to 'Normal' and place the adjustment layer inside the group, at the very top. Does that help?

Can you post and example PSD? (provide a link to CC files or Dropbox, etc)
