Adobe Forcing me to update from 2024? How do I stop this popup?

Explorer ,

Photoshop 2024 is dead in the water for me.

If I open it and work on a file, it gets completely stuck after 30 seconds or so. Showing my desktop reveals a garbage little popup that insits I update to the current version. "Your device is running an old version of Adobe Photoshop. Update to the current version to enjoy etc." See attached.

I just updated PS 2024 to v.25.12 today in hopes that would solve the issue. Nope. Apparently, Adobe allows me to update my version of 2024...but not use it?

I do not want to run 2025 yet. It's 2 weeks old, and I've been burned way too many times before by brand new releases (after 30 years using PS, I know better.)

How do I stop this popup from interfering with my job?

The only solution I have found is to open photoshop whilst offline and connect to the internet after, so far so good!

Hi,

I'm using Photoshop 25.6.0 and after updating Creative Cloud, I am now getting the following pop-up that is appearing frequently, and even in the middle of a work session (completely wrecking my creative flow when painting). This is completely unacceptable for a product I am paying for. I know which verson I'm on and I don't want to update because of.. reasons.

Why is there no checkbox to never show it again? I've set all of my notifications to off in Creative Cloud - including in-app notifications - why isn't that being respected? It sometimes feels like you actually want your customers to switch products.

This is one of the most annoying pop-ups in Photoshop ever!

I have the latest version [v 26.4.1] andd still it disrupts my work as it pops up suggesting that I should update Photoshop!

But when I open the Creative Cloud app and search for updates, it says that there are none andd I have the latest version!

 Really Adobe?

Please fix this immediately.

I'm still getting this too on my travel laptop (Mac Intel i7). It also freezes Photoshop when it pops up. When I click "update", nothing happens. I then have to force quit. At any rate, I don't expect Adobe is going to change this behavior.

I haven't had this happen in a couple of months, but then just now I got the message in Illustrator 2024.
